Artists in Schools

This activity was about working with artists and schools to develop art works which explore and exploit acoustic engineering. Two artists with experience of working with schools on the art/science divide agreed to lead this activity, Luke Jerram in the south of the UK and Martin Davies mostly with Salford.

Bristol based artist, Luke Jerram, developed a project called Resonance as part of Sound Matters. This investigation into acoustics, wind and architecture, exploring architectural spaces that would resonate and sing with the wind.

This preliminary work is evolving into Aeolus , a major touring artwork, exhibition and programme of workshops.
