Salford Acoustics vs ISVR Southampton

Salford and Southampton Universities have the longest established acoustic degree courses in the UK. Between the two Universities, they have a large number of graduates working in acoustics and audio. Six form students often apply to both courses, so how do they compare? Overall, the results are very even, reflected in the fact that the overall satisfaction scores are identical at 90%. So if you are trying to decide whether to study acoustics at Salford or at Southampton, you need to look at other factors such as the course content. Both are good stepping stones into working in acoustic engineering. Southampton has a stronger emphasis on mechanical engineering while Salford has traditionally focussed on audio engineering and environmental acoustics.
