Profile
I am a full time MSc by Research student at the University of Salford. My project is on Virtual Acoustics Prototypes and is sponsored by a major domestic appliance manufacturer.
My research is concerned with identifying the main perceptual dimensions which underlie the subjective impression of sounds from domestic appliances; this will be achieved through jury testing and multidimensional scaling analysis. These subjective perceptual dimensions will then be related to objective acoustic and psychoacoustic parameters and these relationships will be used to formulate an objective sound quality evaluation scheme. My research supervisor is Prof. Andy Moorhouse.About me
I graduated from the University of Salford in 2007 with a BSc (Hons) in Audio Technology. During my time as an undergraduate I participated in an industrial placement program which allowed me to gain first hand experience working in Acoustic Consultancy at the Building Research Establishment in Watford.
Outside of my studies I have a great interest in both recorded and live music. I also enjoy playing guitar, reading and have an interest in film. I have recently begun to take Italian lessons.
